WASHINGTON - Senior attacker Molly Ford (Reisterstown, Md./Notre Dame Prep) earned her third nod of the season to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. Ford helped the Hoyas to a 1-0 week, defeating Rutgers on Saturday to improve to 6-0 in BIG EAST play. The win also secured a BIG EAST Tournament berth for the Blue & Gray.
Ford led the Hoyas with two goals and a team-best three assists in the 19-12 victory over Rutgers. The senior was one of 10 Georgetown players to tally a point in the balanced attack. Ford is leading the team in scoring with highs in goals (37), assists (18) and points (55). She is currently one of 12 players with double-digit points.
No. 14 Georgetown is 8-5 on the season and 6-0 in the conference. The Hoyas have three regular season games remaining including two conference contests. In conference games, Georgetown is leading the BIG EAST in points per game (24.83), goal per game (17.83) and draw controls per game (15.83).
The Hoyas will play at Yale University on Friday evening at 7 p.m.
