Anne McGovern of the No. 22/23 Georgetown University women's lacrosse team has been named the BIG EAST Attacker of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday. Additionally, sophomore attacker
Sophia Loschert was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following a dominant offensive performance in the Hoyas' conference home opener.
McGovern was the centerpiece of a Hoya offense that exploded for a season-high 18 goals in a victory over UConn on Saturday. The Kings Park, New York, native recorded a career-high nine points, netting four goals and dishing out a career-high five assists. McGovern was involved in half of the team's total scoring, showcasing elite vision and efficiency to help lead Georgetown to a 2-0 start in BIG EAST play. This marks McGovern's third conference weekly honor of the 2026 campaign.
Joining her in the weekly honors, Loschert earned a spot on the Honor Roll after leading the team in goals on Saturday. The sophomore attacker set the tone early, netting a game-high five goals on 10 shots. Her aggressive play in the interior allowed the Hoyas to build a commanding lead and secure their second consecutive victory.
Through 10 games, McGovern leads the Blue & Gray with 40 points (25G, 15A), while Loschert ranks third on the team with 25 points (24G, 1A).
