The Blue & Gray sits at 5-5 overall and 3-0 in the BIG EAST after starting the season with one of the most challenging schedules in the nation. The No. 14 Hoyas have defeated Villanova, Notre Dame and Connecticut already this season. A pair of conference victories this weekend, are crucial for seeding in the BIG EAST Tournament.

GU is led by senior Molly Ford (Reisterstown, Md./Notre Dame Prep) who has 31 goals and 11 assists on the season. Classmate Ashby Kaestner (Trappe, Md./Saints Peter and Paul) is second on the squad in scoring with 17 goals and nine assists for 26 points. Louisville is 7-3 overall and 1-1 in the BIG EAST, the Cardinals will host Loyola on Friday evening to kick off a five-game homestand. UofL has won its last three defeating Longwood (17-10), Old Dominion (12-8) and Cincinnati (13-9). The Cardinals have the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week in Danielle Pawliw who led the team to a 3-0 week setting a school record for saves in a game along the way.

Georgetown is 3-0 all-time against the Cardinals after meeting Louisville twice last year. Georgetown defeated UofL 15-11 in Kentucky during the regular season. The top-seeded Hoyas then downed the fourth-seeded Cardinals 21-12 at Multi-Sport Field in the semifinals of the 2009 BIG EAST Tournament.
