WASHINGTON - Georgetown Softball Head Coach Pat Conlan is still accepting day and overnight campers for the 2010 Hoyas' Softball All-Skills Camp set for Monday, July 5 through Thursday, July 8 at Guy Mason Field and the batting cages on Georgetown University's campus.
Space is limited and interested parties are encouraged to act quickly to ensure a spot.
The 2010 Hoyas All-Skills Camp will once again be under the direction of 1993 NCAA All-American and Georgetown's fifth-year head coach Pat Conlan. Conlan brings 17 years of collegiate coaching experience. She will be assisted by Hoyas' assistant coach Erica Ayers along with current and former Georgetown players and additional collegiate coaches.
The daily program will include three sessions, which emphasize individual skills, fundamentals of each position and team concepts. The goal is to provide intense personal instruction and to motivate each player to improve her skills and knowledge of the game.
Skill areas stressed through the course of the camp will be hitting, bunting, infield/outfield defense, baserunning, throwing, game strategy and position play. Drills will be split between Guy Mason Field, the home field of Georgetown softball, as well as the batting cages on campus.
