Yale Results

The Georgetown University women's golf team finished in 10th place out of 16th teams this past weekend in the Yale Intercollegiate Tournament. Georgetown struggled on Sunday, finishing with a final round score of 328 (+40). For the weekend, the Hoyas posted an overall score of 961 (+97), trailing tournament winner Harvard by 67 strokes.
This was the first tournament for the Hoyas under new head coach Katie Brophy, who took over the program during the summer.
At the conclusion of the tournament, Brophy said: "Overall I'm very pleased with our performance in the first event of the year. We took away many positive things that we can build upon this fall. The team has lots of potential and will shoot great scores soon."
The Hoyas were lead by sophomore Alice Choi (Whitestone, N.Y./Bayside) who finished the weekend tied for 21st with a score of 234 (+18). In her first round, Choi shot a 3-over par 75, but then her momentum slowed shooting a 7-over par 79 in her second round, and an 8-over par 80 on Sunday.
Senior Joan Dulieu (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Detroit Country Day) finished tied for 40th with a final score of 239 (+23), shooting a 9-over par 81 in her first round, a 5-over par 77 in the second round, and another 9-over par 81 on Sunday.
Freshmen Isabelle Galantino (Huntington, N.Y./St. Anthony's) shot a 4-over par 76 in her second round on Saturday, but suffered two 12-over par 84's in the first and the third rounds to finish tied for 48th.
The Hoyas look to improve as they return to the links this weekend in Madison Wisconsin to compete in the Badger Invitational.
