WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University softball team (13-7) will not host Towson at Guy Mason Field at 3 p.m. today due to unplayable field conditions. The game will be rescheduled for later this season.
The Hoyas will travel to Fairfax, Va. tomorrow to play George Mason (8-22) at 4 p.m. The two teams have already met once this season at the USC-Upstate Tournament in Spartanburg, S.C. on February 18. The Blue & Gray came out with the 8-0 win with
Lauren O'Leary (La Canada, Calif./La Canada) pitching a two-hit game for the shutout win.
Alexandria Anttila (Antioch, Ill./Antioch Community) and
Hannah Slovacek (Austin, Texas/Westlake) went two-for-three in that contest to lead the Georgetown offense.
Georgetown will travel to Piscataway, N.J. for a three-game series against Rutgers this weekend to open BIG EAST play.
