WASHINGTON - Junior midfielder Kelsi Bozel (Hunt Valley, Md./Notre Dame Prep) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll Monday after leading the Hoyas to a 2-0 week including a mark of 1-0 in BIG EAST Conference play. This is Bozel's first weekly honor and the fourth honor roll award for the Hoyas so far this season.
Bozel tallied eight points, including seven goals in a 2-0 week; scored four goals in a 17-11 win over American and three goals in a 21-11 win over Connecticut. She also posted nine draw controls, three ground balls and a caused turnover for the week.
She currently ranks fourth on the squad in scoring with 17 goals and five assists to her credit for 22 points. As well as posting a team-best 26 draw controls.
This is the midfielder's first-career weekly honor from the BIG EAST although she was a Second Team All-BIG EAST honoree a season ago. This year, Bozel received Preseason All-BIG EAST honors.
