WASHINGTON, D.C. -

Georgetown Softball Head Coach Pat Conlan and the Hoya softball team will be hosting their annual Fall Clinic Nov. 7-8 at Multi-Sport Field. The clinic is going to be sectioned off into four concentrations: pitching, infield, hitting and catching.

Sections will be split up by age group with camp for participants in grades 2-7 occurring Saturday, Nov. 7 and camps for participants in grades 8-12 occurring on Sunday, Nov. 8. For additional information and to sign up, please visit Hoya Softball Camps at https://hoyasoftballcamps.com/index.php.

Pitching Clinic Nov. 7 & Nov. 8 Time: 9:30 am - 1 p.m. Location: Multi-Sport Field

Early registration is highly encouraged as there is a 15 pitcher maximum. Receiving instruction from Head Softball Coach Pat Conlan, pitchers will participate in drills to develop correct mechanics and improve basic skills, learn how to throw spins for different pitches and increase overall explosiveness off the mound. Each pitcher must bring their own catcher. Catchers may be a parent or a teammate. These catchers do not have to pay a clinic fee. All catchers under 18 must wear appropriate catcher's gear.

Infield Clinic Nov. 7 & Nov. 8 Time: 10 am - 12:30 pm Location: Multi-Sport Field

The infield session will include drills to develop proper throwing mechanics, improve arm strength, accuracy and quickness. Participants will also partake in drills to develop proper fielding mechanics, softer hands, footwork and the ability to throw from all angles while focusing on the development of proper footwork around the bag for force plays, tag plays and double plays.

Hitting Clinic Nov. 7 & Nov. 8 Time: 2 pm - 4:30 pm Location: Batting Cages on Georgetown's Campus

The hitting clinic will include an overview of hitting mechanics and fundamentals from stance to swing. Early registration is highly encouraged as there is a 40-player maximum for the hitting clinic.

Catching Clinic Nov. 7 & Nov. 8 Time: 10 am - 12:30 pm Location: Multi-Sport Field

Specifically a catching clinic, the session will work separately from the pitching clinic. Early registration is highly encouraged as there is a 12-catcher maximum per day. Participants must bring their own catchers gear.

The rain date for all clinics is Sunday, Nov. 15. The rain date includes all ages and will be held at the same times and locations.
