Oct. 5, 2015 WASHINGTON - Senior defender Keegan Rosenberry (Ronks, Pa./Lancaster Mennonite) earned weekly honors on Monday as he helped the No. 13/20 Georgetown University men's soccer squad (6-2-2, 2-0-0 BIG EAST) to a 1-0 overtime victory over the then-No. 20 Xavier University Musketeers on Saturday evening.
Rosenberry scored the game-winning goal in overtime against Xavier to keep Georgetown on its current seven-game unbeaten streak. The senior helped the defense to a shutout in the 1-0 victory and allowed just one shot on goal in 10 shots.
This is Rosenberry's first nod to the honor roll this season, and the third BIG EAST award of his career on the Hilltop. It is also the second weekly honor roll award for the Hoyas so far this season.
Georgetown will be back in action on Saturday for Homecoming against the No. RV/19 Butler University Bulldogs. Kickoff is scheduled for noon at Shaw Field, and the game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Tom Kolker and Tom Greaser calling the action. Live stats will also be available through www.GUHoyas.com.
