WASHINGTON - Georgetown University Head Women's Soccer Coach Dave Nolan announced the team's spring schedule, which includes five games against local teams and is highlighted by a nine-day overseas trip.
Head Coach Dave Nolan and the Hoyas will travel to Spain, with stops in Barcelona and Madrid, from March 7 to March 15.
"This spring will certainly be very important for us as we start to put the foundations in place for next fall," Nolan said. "Spring is always a great opportunity to try new ideas and give players a chance to establish strong roles for themselves.
"In addition, we are looking forward to competing against some of the best teams in Spain when we travel to Barcelona and Madrid over spring break. The girls are working hard and excited for the challenge."
The Hoyas begin spring play on Sunday, March 1, playing at Navy (1 p.m.).
After the trip to Spain, the team returns home to play four more games, starting with a game at American on Saturday, March 28 as part of the DC Spring Classic. The tournament runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Georgetown will also play at Maryland on Tuesday, March 31 (7 p.m.) and at Towson on Saturday, April 11 (noon) before closing out the spring with a game at Virginia on Saturday, April 18 (6 p.m.)
