WASHINGTON - The Georgetown men's tennis split its weekend matchups against Temple and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in Philadelphia. The Hoyas defeated Temple, 4-2, on Friday afternoon, before falling to the Stags on Saturday, 6-1.

In Friday's matchup, the Hoyas took the No. 1, 3 and 4 singles positions while also winning the No. 1 doubles match.
Daniel Khanin (Baldwin, N.Y./Pendleton) defeated Santiago Canete from the top singles position in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. Peter Beatty (Portland, Ore./Middlesex School) was victorious in three sets over Hicham Belkssir, 6-4, 1-6, 10-4 at the No. 3 slot. Alex Tropiano (Laurel Hollow, N.Y/Cold Spring Harbor) was also taken to three sets, but in the end, he prevailed over Vineet Naran, 3-6, 6-3, 11-9.
In doubles play, the No.1 duo of John Brosens (Bedford, N.Y./Brunswick) and Jordan Portner took down Maros Januvka and Ian Glessing 6-7(3), 7-5, 10-7.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 6, Georgetown 1
On Saturday, the Hoyas picked up a win at the No. 2 doubles position, but were swept in singles play to fall 6-1 to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
The Hoyas got a win in doubles as Andrew Dottino (New York, N.Y./Pendleton) and Jordan Portner were victorious over Bryan Mehall and Rohan Shankar, 6-4, 6-4.
GU returns to action on April 2 when it travels to Baltimore, Md. for a match against Morgan State University.
