Sept. 21, 2015 WASHINGTON - Sophomore midfielder Matthew Ledder (Falls Church, Va./Gonzaga) earned weekly honors on Monday as he helped the Georgetown University men's soccer squad (3-2-2) to a 1-0-1 week against a pair of non-conference opponents. The Hoyas have just one non-conference game remaining on the schedule and will open BIG EAST Conference play at home on Saturday.
Ledder came off the bench to register four points on the week, with two assists in a 2-2 tie against VCU and the game-winning goal at West Virginia in a 3-1 victory. He is currently tied for third on the squad in scoring with one goal and three assists on the season.
This is Ledder's first-career honor on the Hilltop. It is also the first weekly honor roll award for the Hoyas so far this season.
The Hoyas will close out non-conference play on Wednesday as the squad welcomes local-rival the No. 10/12 University of Maryland Terrapins to Shaw Field for a 4 p.m., matchup.
