April 6, 2016 WASHINGTON -
The Georgetown University Men's team fell, 5-1, in a road matchup against the Richmond Spiders on Tuesday.
Due to colder than normal temperatures, the match started with singles and doubles would only be played if needed.
In their 14th match of the season, the Hoyas got off to an uncharacteristically slow start and ultimately were never able to find momentum as Richmond took five of six singles matches.
Freshman Michael Chen (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel High School) led GU's effort as he pushed his match against Richmond's Caleb Troy into three sets to win at the No. 4 spot, 7-6, 6-7, 11-9
Georgetown is back in action on Saturday, April 9, when it hosts Bryant University. First serve is set for noon at the Georgetown Visitation Courts.
