WASHINGTON - Georgetown University baseball graduate student outfielder Zach Racusin (Morristown, N.J./Saisbury School/Marist) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the conference on Monday. The award recognizes Racusin's performances in GU's three games in its season-opening series at Davidson College.

Playing in his first games in a Georgetown uniform, Racusin batted .385 (5-for-13) with two runs scored and an RBI, recording multi-hit performances in his first two games. He singled in his first GU at-bat on Friday and added an RBI ground out. After Davidson scored five runs to tie the game, Racusin singled and scored the game-winning run in the ninth inning as the Hoyas won in their last at-bat for their first season-opening win since 2012. He also had three hits, including a double, and scored a run on Saturday. This is the first-career honor roll selection for Racusin and the first of the season for Georgetown.

The Hoyas (1-2) will travel to Coppin State for a midweek matchup on Wednesday. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. Live stats will be available at www.GUHoyas.com.
