WASHINGTON - Georgetown University softball student-athletes Mallory Belknap (Scottsdale, Ariz./Xavier College Prep) and Noelle Holiday (Bear, Del./Red Lion Christian Academy) were named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday. This is the first Honor Roll selection of both of their careers.

Belknap had a huge weekend at the plate for the Hoyas. The lefty had 10 hits and three walks on the way to hitting .588 over the course of five games. She also was key in run production, accounting for four RBI. Her .489 batting average and 23 hits on the season are both team highs.

Holiday supplied much of the power for GU over the weekend. She finished the weekend with two home runs and a double to go along with five RBI. Her two home runs on the season are tied for the team lead.

The Hoyas return to action next weekend at the Texas A&M Invite. The first game of the tournament will take place against Prairie View A&M on Friday, March 3 at 10 a.m. in College Station, Texas.
