Hoyas Ink a Pair to National Letters of Intent

WASHINGTON - Georgetown Men's Basketball Head Coach Patrick Ewing announced that Georgetown has signed a pair of student-athletes to National Letters of Intent in the early signing period.
Ewing has signed 6-foot-11 center Malcolm Wilson and 6-foot-11 center Timothy Ighoefe (Lagos, Nigeria). The duo will be freshmen on the 2019-20 Georgetown basketball team.
"I'm looking forward to both Timothy and Malcolm joining our program" said Head Coach Patrick Ewing.  "I expect them to come in and contribute on the court."
Wilson is a three-star recruit out of Columbia, South Carolina and he averaged 9.9 ppg and 6.4 bpg for the Ridge View Blazers last season. Overall, he finished this 2017-18 season with 287 rebounds and 186 blocks. He also helped lead the Blazers to their first state championship in program history and Ridge View became the first school from District 2 to achieve that feat.
Ighoefe is a member of NBA Academy Africa and competed in the NBA Academy Games over the summer. Ighoefe is known for his 7-foot-7.5 wingspan, 8-foot-11 standing reach and 10-foot-11 one-step vertical. At the end of 2017, Ighoefe, as part of NBA Academy Africa, participated in a tour of Europe and participated in training sessions and played games against local.
