WASHINGTON - Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team hosts No. 9/10 Loyola Maryland in a nonconference showdown on the Hilltop on Tuesday. The game, originally slated for March 21 and rescheduled because of inclement weather, is the 41st all-time meeting between the longtime foes.

Opening faceoff is set for 3 p.m. with Jeremy Huber calling the action and Earl Brewer providing color commentary. Links to the video and live stats are available at www.GUHoyas.com.

The Hoyas (7-3) are coming off an 8-4 victory over visiting Providence in BIG EAST action last Saturday afternoon. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Blue & Gray and put Georgetown in the driver's seat to secure a berth in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament.

Jake Carraway (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) led the Hoyas with four goals while Craig Berge (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) added a goal and two assists and Daniel Bucaro (East Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) chipped in three assists. Berge reached the 100 career point mark and became just the 22nd Hoya to achieve the milestone.

Defensively, Nick Marrocco (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury) led the Hoyas with a 12-save performance in goal, including six in the third quarter. His dozen saves matched a season high and it was the fourth time he notched double-digit saves this campaign.

Marrocco was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts while Carraway was selected to the weekly honor roll.

Bucaro continues to lead the Hoyas with 44 points (27G, 17A) while Carraway is hot on his trail with a team-best 28 goals and 12 assists for 40 points. Berge has notched 28 points (13G, 15A), Lucas Wittenberg (Kennesaw, Ga./Harrison/Mercer) has 19 points (12G, 7A) and Matt Behrens (Bronxville, N.Y./Bronxville) rounds out the Hoyas in double-figures with 10 points (9G, 1A).

Defensively, Marrocco has a 7-3 record this season and owns a 7.85 goals-against average. He has collected 89 saves and posts a .543 save percentage. A week after dropping to second on the NCAA active career leader list in saves, he returned to the top spot following the Providence game with 591 during his tenure on the Hilltop.

Georgetown continues to receive votes in both major polls.

Loyola heads to the Nation's Capital with a 7-3 record. The Greyhounds are coming off a 16-10 victory over Lehigh in Patriot League action.

Pat Spencer leads Loyola with 58 points (23G, 35A), followed by Jay Drapeau with 31 points (25G, 6A), Aiden Olmstead with 27 points (13G, 14A), Kevin Lindley with 22 points (20G, 2A) and John Duffy with 19 points (14G, 5A). Jacob Stover has started all 10 games for the Greyhounds and hold an 8.40 goals-against average to go with 88 saves and a .521 save percentage.

With 40 games between the two programs, Georgetown has played more contests against Loyola than any other school. The Greyhounds hold a 33-7 series advantage and won a down-to-the-wire 11-10 victory over the Hoyas in Baltimore last season. Georgetown's last victory over Loyola was a 13-12 victory in Charm City in 2015. Three of the last four games between the two schools have been one-goal affairs.

Following Tuesday's game, the Hoyas return to action as they travel to face No. 13/13 Villanova in BIG EAST action on Saturday. The game will be broadcast on FOX College Sports.
