WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's
Jake Carraway (Annapolis, Md. / St. Mary's) was added to the 2019 Tewaaraton Award Watch List, as announced by The Tewaaraton Foundation on Thursday. The Tewaaraton Award is recognized as the pre-eminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States.
Carraway has posted 43 points (26G, 17A) on the season, second-most for the Hoyas. His 17 assists are a team-high and his 26 goals rank second. He has added 15 ground balls and five caused turnovers. He also leads the Blue & Gray with four man-up goals.
Coming off a four-goal performance in a 13-10 victory over Drexel, Carraway moved up the all-time scoring list at Georgetown. His 135 points (90G, 45A) put him tied for 13th all-time with Neal Goldman. Carraway is now 10 goals away from becoming just the 10th Hoya to score 100 goals in a career.
The 14th-ranked Hoyas (7-1) are back in action on Saturday as they host Marquette in the BIG EAST Opener at Cooper Field.
