WASHINGTON– The Georgetown University women's rowing team is set to compete in the Knecht Cup on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14 on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The Hoyas are sending seven boats to race over the weekend including four openweight and three lightweight crews.
 
The openweight squad will hit the water first at 8:20 a.m. on Saturday in the Women's Varsity Four event. Heat two will feature the Hoyas along with Temple, Connecticut, UMass and Stanford. The Women's Second Varsity Four boat will race immediately after at 8:36 a.m. against North Carolina, Temple and Boston College.
 
Next on the water for the Blue & Gray will be the Women's Lightweight Four boat racing at 9:56 a.m. against Princeton, Boston University, Wisconsin and Harvard-Radcliffe followed by the Women's Varsity Eight race at 10:20 a.m., which will feature both the openweight and lightweight Georgetown boats competing head-to-head along with Washington College, Boston College and North Carolina.
 
At 11 a.m., the openweights will compete in the Women's Second Varsity Eight event against Boston College, Stanford and Temple. Rounding out Saturday's races is the Women's Varsity Quad lightweight boat competing at 4:44 p.m. against MIT, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and Bucknell.
 
In all Saturday races, the top two finishers from each heat will advance to the Grand Final with the next two competing in the Petite Finals all held on Sunday.
