On Tuesday, Georgetown won three of the four weekly awards for the BIG EAST Conference. Senior midfielder
Francesca Whitehurst (Baltimore, Md. / Roland Park Country School) was named the Midfielder of the Week, senior

Hudson led the BIG EAST in ground balls while tying for second in caused turnovers. The junior had six ground balls and two caused turnovers while adding the game-winning goal in GU's victory at Villanova on Saturday, after totaling four ground balls and two caused turnovers in a setback to then-No. 14/13 Navy on Wednesday. Maryland (15-0) fought back and battled the weather and a midgame venue change to defeat No. 5 Northwestern 17-13 last Thursday and clinch at least a share of the Big Ten Regular Season title for the fifth year in a row. The senior duo of Jen Giles and Megan Taylor led the way as the Terps cruised to a 14-3 win over No. 7 Michigan on Saturday. The Terps are led by the midfield corps of Giles, transfer Erica Evans and sophomore Grace Griffin. Giles leads the Terps with 42 goals, 17 assists, 59 points and is second with 25 groundballs.
The Hoyas are 4-24 all-time against the Terps and 1-12 at home. The last GU victory was an 11-10 overtime win during the 2006 season. Last year, Georgetown fell in College Park 17-5, the season prior the Blue & Gray lost 17-13 at Cooper Field.
