WASHINGTON – Due to impending inclement weather in the forecast, the Georgetown University baseball team has cancelled its Friday series opener against Rider at Shirley Povich Field. Additionally, Saturday's doubleheader against the Broncs has been moved up two hours and will now start at noon. Live stats and a video stream will be available at GUHoyas.com.
Saturday will now consist of two nine-inning games. First pitch of game one is set for noon and game two will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first contest.
The Hoyas are in their bye week from BIG EAST play. Following this weekend, GU will remain at home to host George Washington in a midweek matchup on Wednesday, April 24. The Blue & Gray will then jump back into conference play, welcoming St. John's to Shirley Povich Field for a three-game series April 26-28.
