The Hoyas are 9-27 on the season and 2-6 in the BIG EAST. They are coming off of a tough weekend after being swept by the DePaul Blue Demons in a three-game BIG EAST series at Nats Academy. Junior
Noelle Holiday (Bear, Del. / Red Lion Christian Academy) led the Blue & Gray with a double and a homer on the weekend and freshman
Cassie Henning (Atlanta, Ga. / Wesleyan) added a pair of clutch hits. Additionally, junior pitcher
Anna Brooks Pacha (Houston, Texas / St. John's School) recorded her 400th career strikeout against DePaul, the third Hoya in program history to reach the milestone.
For the season, Holiday leads the squad batting .341 with a team high of nine doubles, seven homers, 27 RBIs and a .694 slugging percentage. Sophomore
Savannah Jones (San Rafael, Calif. / Terra Linda) ranks second with a .313 batting average, 31 hits, eight doubles, three triples, a home run and 13 RBIs. Freshman
Mae Forshey (Phoenix, Ariz. / Arcadia) is tied with Jones for a team-best 31 hits and has eight doubles and 18 RBIs on the year.
In the circle, Pacha registers a team-best 6.64 earned run average and has recorded 60 strikeouts in 62.1 innings pitched.
The Tigers hold an overall record of 16-19 and are 3-6 in the CAA. TU is hosting Howard on Tuesday evening for a midweek doublehader. Towson won its conference series at Delaware this past weekend and shut out the Blue Hens 6-0 in the first game of the series. Pitcher Sara Johnson threw a career-best 12 strikeouts and tallied her second shutout of the season. Nicole Stockinger leads the Tigers batting .387 to go along with 36 hits, eight doubles, a pair of triples, 10 homers and 31 RBIs. Julia Smith-Harrington has added 12 doubles and four home runs. Johnson registers a 3.14 earned run average and has recorded 93 strikeouts in 93.2 innings pitched.
Wednesday will be the 19th meeting between the Hoyas and the Tigers, with Towson leading the all-time series 5-13. Last season, GU fell 12-1 to Towson at Nats Academy with senior

Following Wednesday's matchup, Georgetown will remain on the road and head to Indianapolis, Indiana this weekend to take on Butler for a three-game BIG EAST series. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at noon and a single game on Sunday at noon.
