WASHINGTON –  The Georgetown University women's lacrosse squad announced its 2019 fall schedule on Thursday. The Hoyas will play on four dates with three all-day events.
 
The first full day of games is slated for Saturday, Sept. 28 at the University of Maryland. The Hoyas will play the host Terps (11 a.m.), James Madison (noon) and Navy (3 p.m.) in the event. 
 
On Oct. 12, GU will face three teams at the US Lacrosse training center in Sparks, Md. The Hoyas will play Louisville (10 a.m.), Niagra (3 p.m.) and Ohio State (4 p.m.).  Other games include Penn State vs. Richmond (11 a.m.), Penn State vs. James Madison (noon) and James Madison vs. Richmond (2 p.m.)
 
The following weekend, the Blue & Gray will travel to the University of Virginia for two games on Oct. 20.  GU will play UVA at 11 a.m. and Michigan at 12:15 p.m.
 
The final play date is Oct. 26 as the Hoyas host a tournament at Cooper Field.  Georgetown will face James Madison (10 a.m.), Richmond (1 p.m.) and Penn State (3 p.m.) in the tourney.  That evening, the squad will be celebrating the 2019 BIG EAST Championship with a ring ceremony.  The following morning, alumnae will return for a game at 11 a.m.
 
Georgetown finished the 2019 season with 12 wins as well as a BIG EAST Championship and the first trip to the NCAA Tournament Second Round since 2014.
