WASHINGTON – Senior Kenny Rowe of the Georgetown University indoor track & field team was named the BIG EAST Male Athlete of the Week, as announced on Thursday morning. Rowe was recognized for his performance at the Hokie Invitational this past weekend.
During his first 800-meter run performance of the season, Rowe finished in first place with a time of 1:50.57. His time is currently ranked No. 1 in the BIG EAST standings and no. 23 in the nation.
This is Georgetown's second BIG EAST recognition after competing in three meets.
Part of the Georgetown men's team will travel to Indiana on Jan. 31 for the Indiana Relays, while the rest of both squads will travel to Pennsylvania on Jan. 31 for the Penn State National.
