Box Score FORT MYERS, Fla. – In a game that featured six lead changes, the Georgetown University baseball team dropped a tough back-and-forth affair, 6-5 in 10 innings, to FGCU at Swanson Stadium. With the setback, the Hoyas fall to 4-12, while the Eagles improve to 9-7.

  • Ryan M. Davis doubled twice and walked, finishing with two RBIs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • FGCU took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on a two-out RBI double.
  • Lotsis gave the Hoyas the leads with his fourth home run of the season in the top of the third, a two-run shot over the left field wall to make it 2-1.
  • The Eagles tied it with a two-run shot of their own, but Davis tied the game in the top of the fourth with a run-scoring double.
  • FGCU reclaimed the lead right back, 4-3, with a solo homer in the bottom of the fourth.
  • In the top of the fifth, the Hoyas loaded the bases before Freddy Achecar III reached on an error to score Matt Stone and Davis drew a bases-loaded walk to force home John Simourian to give GU the lead back at 5-4.
  • Another two-out double for FGCU tied the game in the bottom of the eighth.
  • FGCU loaded the bases with one out in the 10th inning. Lotsis made a diving catch on a ball hit into left field, but the runner just beat the throw home to scoring the winning run.

OF NOTE
  • Davis' second-inning double off the center field wall was his 150th career hit, making him the 39th Hoya in program history to reach that mark.
