WASHINGTON – Georgetown University baseball sophomore Jack Weeks was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Wednesday, as announced by the league office. This is Weeks' first career selection to the honor roll and it recognizes his efforts in GU's 7-4 win over Maryland Eastern Shore last week.

• Weeks was dominant on the mound against the Hawks, firing a career-high 7.0 innings.
• He was nearly perfect as he retired the first 16 batters of the game until a one-out walk in the sixth inning.
• Weeks ended up allowing just one unearned run on one hit and two walks while striking out four.
• The Hoyas had built up a 5-0 lead before he allowed his first base runner, going on to the 7-4 victory.

 
COMING UP NEXT
The Hoyas will depart on Thursday for their 10-day, eight-game Spring Break trip to the Snowbird Baseball Classic in Florida, where they will play against UIC (March 6 & 8), Iowa (March 7), FGCU (March 10), Army West Point ( March 11) and Lafayette (March 13-15).
