Gibson Smith were both named First Team Media All-Americans while senior
Jake Carraway collected Third Team Media All-American honors.
Owen McElroy, Jr., G, Ridgewood, N.J.
• Named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
• NCAA leader in goals-against average (6.21).
• NCAA leader in save percentage (.689).
• Posted a 6-0 record between the pipes.
• Averaged 9.67 saves per game.
• Named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week once in 2020.
• Collected 14 saves twice, and nine saves in three games.
• Allowed four goals or fewer in three of six games on the year.
Gibson Smith, Jr., D, Pelham, N.Y.
• Named to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
• 2020 USILA Preseason Second Team All-American.
• 2020 Inside Lacrosse Preseason Second Team Media All-American.
• 2020 BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year; Preseason All-BIG EAST Team selection.
• Led Georgetown's defense to post an NCAA-best scoring defense at 6.33 goals per game.
• Hoyas ranked fourth nationally in ground ball per game (41.17).
• Man-down defense was ranked 11th at .786.
• Averaged 4.8 ground balls per game and posted seven caused turnovers in five games.
• Ranked ninth all-time at Georgetown in career ground balls with 189.

• Led the BIG EAST in points per game (5.67) and goals per game (3.83).
• Ranked top-10 in NCAA in GPG and PPG.
• Third place all-time at Georgetown in career points (214).
• Tied for second all-time on the Hilltop in career goals (144).
Georgetown posted an undefeated 6-0 record in the truncated 2020 season, tying its best start since the 2003 campaign. The Hoyas led the NCAA in scoring defense (6.33), scoring margin (10.17) and was one of just five teams without a loss when the season was canceled. In all, the Blue & Gray ranked in the top-five overall in clearing (2nd - .934), man-up offense (2nd - .692), faceoffs (4th - .673), and ground balls per game (4th - 41.17).
