The G130 class of 2020 — Caroline, Anna, Isabel, Elisabeth, Michelle and Carly — will always represent a particularly meaningful era for me at Georgetown. These young women were the first class that I welcomed to Thompson Boat House as a new coach, and they, in turn, taught me what it means to be a coach, a mentor, a student and a friend to the G130s. Abbey and I could not be more proud of the women that these young ladies have become. They entered a small, struggling lightweight program with simply their grit and determination to make a name for themselves. Four years later, they’re leaving in their wake a thriving, winning D-1 crew that high schoolers aspire to. I’m privileged to have been a part of their four years at Georgetown, and we are thrilled to see what they accomplish in the years to come. Don’t ever forget the great things you did here. Remember: BE GEORGETOWN, BE YOURSELF.

Always exhibiting the G130 walk-on spirit, Michelle earned her swagger through hard work and dedication - always with a big smile and great attitude. When race time came, she turned into a fierce competitor.

Carly took a chance on the G130s as a walk-on, and then never stopped bringing her tenacity and persevering spirit to the team. Once the flag dropped, Carly never stopped pulling till the horn went off.

As a G130, Anna has exhibited remarkable mental toughness. No matter what is thrown at her, she takes it on with grit and determination.

During her time with the G130s, Caroline has always led not by words, but by her actions. She has shown this team that great things are achieved by working hard and working together.

The G130s had the privilege of witnessing Lis realize not only the true depth of her capability, but also the depth of her personality. Throughout this journey, she has always been true to herself, and shared that quality with her team.

The G130 spirit is about excellence coexisting with humility. Isabel managed excellence in academics, grassroots involvement, and a grueling athletic schedule, all while maintaining her humble, kind and positive demeanor.
