WASHINGTON – After a strong performance at the Head of the Charles, Georgetown women's rowing heads to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to compete in the Head of the Schuylkill on Saturday, October 30. This regatta marks the third-consecutive week of competition for the Hoyas this fall season. Georgetown will compete in six races throughout the day and have 11 shells racing on the Schuylkill River.
Hoya Fleet
- Georgetown will launch its freshman 4+ first on Saturday. The novices will race at 9:55 a.m. in a field of 18 teams.
- The Hoyas will send three shells to race in the women's championship 4+ at 11:05 a.m., and Georgetown will be going against 47 other shells.
- The women's club championship 8+ will see three Georgetown shells in its field of 46. The Hoyas will send two openweight 8+ lineups and one lightweight 8+ to compete in the race that begins at 2:25 p.m.
- Hannah Weingartner and Claire Miller will compete in the women's championship doubles at 3:25 p.m. The Hoyas will face nine doubles in the afternoon race.
- Georgetown will have two boats competing in the women's championship eights at 3:50 p.m. The Hoyas will have one openweight 8+ and one lightweight 8+ on the water in a small field consisting of eight shells.
- The Hoyas finish the day of competition as the sole entry in the women's championship quads at 4:25 p.m.
