WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team plays its first BIG EAST road match of the season as it travels to take on Villanova in midweek competition on Tuesday night. Wednesday's showdown on the Main Line is set for 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Austin Rooney calling the action.

About the Hoyas
- Georgetown is 4-11 on the season and 0-4 in league play after dropping a pair of hard-fought matches against Butler and Xavier over the weekend.
- Jessica Cusi was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after leading the conference in digs and service aces with 56 (6.22 digs per set) and eight, respectively.
- Giselle Williams leads the Hoyas with an even 3.00 kills per set while Mary Grace Goyena adds 2.84 kills per set. The duo is the only pair of Hoyas with at least two kills a frame.
- Lilly Costigan took over setting duties over the weekend and averages 8.85 assists per set on the year. Emma Plutnicki has also been solid all season with 7.46 aps.
- The Hoyas boast a strong presence at the net, as Chanelle Smith averages 1.21 blocks per set while Makayla Serrett adds 1.05 bps and Brennan Wilhite is just shy of one rejection a frame at 0.89 bps.
- Cusi anchors the back row as one of five Hoyas averaging at least two digs a frame with 4.47 a set. Elissa Barbosa adds 2.63 dps, Plutnicki chips in 2.33 dps, Makana Meyer is good for 2.23 dps and Kelly Chen chimes in with 2.13 dps.
Scouting Villanova
- Villanova is 9-7 overall and 1-3 in BIG EAST play with its lone win coming against Butler.
- Riley Homer leads the Wildcats with 3.73 kills per set while Kiera Booth adds 2.42 kps.
- Belle Morgan averages 9.78 assists per set to pace the Villanova offense.
- Defensively, Averi Salvador averages 4.29 digs per set and Booth is the top threat at the net with 0.85 blocks per set.
Side Out
Following Wednesday's road trip, the Hoyas return home for their fifth home BIG EAST match in their last six contests against UConn on Saturday, October 9 at 5 p.m.
