  • For his efforts, Tabora was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week.
  • This is the fifth trip to the NCAA quarterfinals in program history, and the fourth matchup that will be hosted at Shaw Field.
  • Junior Stefan Stojanovic leads the Hoyas with 20 points on nine goals and two assists. Polvara is second with 18 points off of six goals and six assists, while Tabora is third tallying four goals and six assists for 14 points on the year.
  • Additionally this week, Head Men's Soccer Coach Brian Wiese and his staff were recognized by the United Soccer Coaches as the East Regional Staff of the Year. This is the fifth time in program history that GU has earned the honor and the fourth for Wiese.
About the Mountaineers
  • West Virginia (12-3-5) is coming off of a 1-0 double overtime victory over sixth-seeded Tulsa on Saturday.
  • Freshman Otto Ollikainen scored the golden goal in the 102nd minute to send the Mountaineers into the NCAA Quarterfinals.

  • WVU is 8-14-1 all-time in the NCAA Championship.
Series Information
  • Georgetown is 14-6 all-time against West Virginia and 9-1 at home.
  • The teams have met once before in the NCAA Championship as GU defeated WVU 1-0 at Shaw Field in the second round during the 2018 season.
  • The game winner came from Dylan Nealis that season as the shot deflected off of a defender and into the net.
NCAA Championship
  • Georgetown is 18-7-5 all-time in the NCAA Championship and 2-1-1 in the quarterfinals as well as holding a 13-4-3 mark at home.

  • Georgetown's NCAA Tournament berth is the 10th under Head Coach Brian Wiese.
  • This is the ninth time the Hoyas have earned a seed in the tournament. In 2019, Georgetown was the No. 3 seed when it won the NCAA championship.
