WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's cross country team will open the spring 2021 campaign Saturday morning in Mechanicsville, Virginia at the Spider/Patriot Cross Country Classic, hosted by the University of Richmond and George Mason University. The squad is set to begin their competition at 12 p.m.

The women's team was selected as the top-ranked squad in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's (USTFCCCA) Week 5 regional rankings.
The squad is also tabbed as the No. 20 team on the USTFCCCA NCAA Division I Cross Country National Coaches' Poll for Week 5.
