Jake Carraway Named US Lacrosse National Player of the Week

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's Jake Carraway was named the National Player of the Week by US Lacrosse, as announced by the organization. The Hoya attackman led the nation in scoring with nine points on eight goals and an assist in the fifth-ranked Blue & Gray's emphatic 16-1 victory at then-No. 16/18 Villanova on Sunday.

•    Scored eight goals and added an assist for nine points in the win.
•    Carraway's second tally proved to be the game winner while he added a pair of ground balls and a caused turnover on the day.
•    His eight goals move him just one shy of the Georgetown career goal record of 153, held by former teammate Daniel Bucaro.
•    With his nine points on the day, Carraway now has 223 in his career and is just 13 away from tying the program record of 236 set by Greg McCavera (1996-99).
•    His eight goals are fourth-most in a game in Georgetown history and his nine points are tied for fifth most in a single game.
•    Georgetown's +15 goal differential is the 16th largest in program history.
 
Georgetown continues BIG EAST play as it welcomes St. John's to the Hilltop on Saturday, February 27 at noon.
