WASHINGTON – The No. 3/2 Georgetown University men's soccer team will continue BIG EAST Conference play hosting the St. John's University Red Storm on Saturday at Shaw Field in a noon matchup. The Hoyas are currently 2-0-1 both for the season and in league play coming off of a tie at then-No.14 Providence last Saturday.

About the Hoyas
- The Hoyas came away with a scoreless double overtime tie at Providence on Saturday.
- Georgetown outshot Providence 11-6 with two on goal to the Friars' one and the Hoyas were awarded seven corner kicks to PC's four in the game.
- Junior keeper Giannis Nikopolidis took the draw in the net managing one save on the afternoon
- The tie snapped an eight-game win streak for the Hoyas dating back to November 13, 2019 in the BIG EAST semifinals.
- On Monday, sophomore midfielder Dante Polvara was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
- Polvara scored both goals in GU's 2-1 overtime victory over Seton Hall on Wednesday.
- The sophomore scored in the 64th minute off of a penalty kick and then found the golden goal in the 98th minute as a Hoya PK was saved but Polvara charged the net and sent the rebound back in to give the Blue & Gray the victory.
- He has started all three games for the Hoyas this season and is leading the team in scoring with four goals for eight points on the year.
- It was the second nod to the honor roll this season for Georgetown as well as Polvara's second-career honor after earning a spot as a freshman.
- Georgetown is currently ranked No. 2 in the country in the TopDrawerSoccer.com poll and No. 3 in the nation in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.

- St. John's is coming off of a big 2-0 victory at No. 13 Providence on Wednesday.
- Tani Oluwaseyi scored the game winner and picked up the assist on the insurance goal by Wesley Leggett.
- Oluwaseyi has five goals in as many appearances this season and has scored all four of the team's game winners.
- The Red Storm sit at 4-2-0 overall and 2-2-0 in BIG EAST Conference play.
- Saturday will mark the second game in a ranked road trip for the Red Storm.
