WASHINGTON – Two Georgetown University men's soccer players earned BIG EAST weekly honors on Monday as junior Giannis Nikopolidis and freshman Chris Hegardt both received nods to the BIG EAST Honor Roll.  It marked the third-consecutive week a Hoya has earned a weekly honor from the conference.

• Nikopolidis made three saves to shut out the Red Storm in the 1-0 win for No. 3/2 Georgetown on Saturday.
• It marked his second shutout of the season for the 3-0-1 Hoyas.
• For the year, the junior has a goals-against average of 0.30.
• This is his third-career honor roll recognition.

• Hegardt scored the game-winning goal for Georgetown against St. John's on Saturday in a nationally televised game on FS1.
• His rebound shot in the 30th minute secured the 1-0 victory for the No. 3/2 Hoyas.
• The freshman is currently second on the team in scoring with two goals, both game winners, for four points on the season.
• This is his second conference honor as he was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on March 1.
• Georgetown has had four honor roll recognitions so far this season.
