Derek Dodson was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Monday as announced by the league office. The Hoyas are currently ranked third in the country in the United Soccer Coaches poll and second in the TopDrawerSoccer.com poll.

- Dodson scored a goal in each of Georgetown's overtime contests last week helping the Hoyas to a 1-0-1 week.
- The Hoyas are atop of the East Division standings at 4-0-2 (.833).
- Dodson scored in the 57th minute against Villanova on Wednesday at Shaw Field, cutting the Wildcat lead to 2-1. The Hoyas eventually tied the game and won in overtime.
- On Saturday against No. 22/19 Seton Hall, Dodson scored the lone goal for the Hoyas in the 74th minute. Seton Hall tied the game in the 81st minute and the teams played though two overtimes for a draw.
- The forward is second on the team in scoring with two goals and one assist for five points over four games played.
- This is his fourth-career weekly award and the third for the Blue & Gray this season.
