WASHINGTON –
Daisy Cleverley,
Kelly Ann Livingstone,
Lauren Gallagher and
Julia Leas were selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region First Team, with
Jenna Royson earning a nod to the Second Team, after a competitive campaign which saw Georgetown finish 12-0-2 (7-0-1 BIG EAST). After finishing at the top of the BIG EAST's East Division, the squad began postseason play in the BIG EAST Tournament. A
Julia Leas spot kick in overtime helped the Hoyas down Creighton in the semifinals, before
Jenna Menta's overtime goal against Butler clinched GU's fourth BIG EAST title in five seasons. In the NCAA Tournament, the Hoyas beat South Carolina in the second round, eventually failing to advance against TCU on penalty kicks in the round of 16.
Daisy Cleverley | Gr. | All-East Region First Team
- In her first season with the Hoyas, Cleverley tallied two goals and an assist over her 14 starts.
- Registered 18 shots this campaign, with six finding the target.
- Has one game-winning goal to her credit.
- Contributed one assist in Georgetown's opening game against George Mason, and a goal in each of GU's matchups with BIG EAST rival Villanova.
- Named BIG EAST Midfielder of the Year and was selected to the All-BIG EAST First Team.
Kelly Ann Livingstone | Sr. | All-East Region First Team
- Anchored a backline which only conceded four goals this campaign.
- Awarded BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on March 15.
- Also earned consecutive weekly honor roll nods on March 22 and 29.
- Chipped in with a goal against Seton Hall University on March 21.
- Named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year and was selected to the All-BIG EAST First Team.
Lauren Gallagher | Gr. | All-East Region First Team
- Made 13 appearances in net for the Hoyas this season.
- Tallied 17 saves throughout the season as Georgetown outscored opponents 31-2 with her in net.
- Ranks second in the BIG EAST, behind classmate Alyssa Navarrete, in goals against average (.32).
- Her save percentage is best in the conference at .889.
- Named to All-BIG EAST Second Team.
Julia Leas | So. | All-East Region First Team
- Registered goals against George Washington and Providence on February 28 and March 7, respectively.
- Also chipped in with an assist in a commanding 7-0 win against Villanova.
- Played every game for Georgetown this season, starting all 14.
- Was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on March 8.
- Named to the All-BIG EAST Second Team.
- Scored the game-winning penalty kick to send Georgetown to the BIG EAST Conference Championship game.
- Awarded a spot on the BIG EAST Conference's All-Tournament Team.
Jenna Royson | Jr. | All-East Region Second Team
- Registered 18 shots as a defender this season, with nine finding the target.
- Was tabbed as the BIG EAST's Preseason Defender of the Year.
- Also named to the conference's All BIG-EAST preseason team.
