WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's Owen McElroy was selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's National Team of the Week for the fourth time this season, as announced by the organization this week. McElroy led the Hoyas to their third-straight BIG EAST Championship with a pair of wins over the weekend.

• Named BIG EAST Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
• Collected 32 saves in two games against nationally-ranked opponents.
• Had 17 saves in a 14-12 victory over No. 11/12 Villanova in the BIG EAST Semifinals
• Added 15 saves in the championship game, a 10-9 win against No. 7 Denver.
• Leads the NCAA in save percentage at .604 and is second nationally in goals-against average with (7.97).

 
Georgetown will make its 14th NCAA Tournament appearance as it takes on former BIG EAST rival Syracuse on Saturday, May 15 at Capital One Field in College Park, Maryland. Opening faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
