WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's soccer senior
Paul Rothrock was named a Scholar All-Region honoree by the United Soccer Coaches on Thursday afternoon when the organization announced its individual academic awards. To be eligible for Scholar All-Region recognition, student-athletes must have a 3.40 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) or better throughout their career, started more than 50 percent of all games and significantly contribute to their team and be a junior or above in academic standing.

- Rothrock was a Third Team All-BIG EAST honoree this past season.
- He started all 12 games he appeared in for the Blue & Gray.
- His two goals were both game winners against Villanova and UConn.
- The midfielder also managed a team-best four assists, with three coming in the postseason, for eight points on the season
- This is his first postseason academic honor.
- He was drafted by Toronto FC in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft going 64th overall and No. 10 in the third round.
- Rothrock will graduate this weekend after majoring in economics.
