About the Hoyas
- Georgetown was unanimously picked as the BIG EAST Preseason favorites for the sixth year running.
- Senior Kelly Ann Livingstone was named the BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
- Graduate student Daisy Cleverley and junior Julia Leas were also named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team. Cleverley is making her return from the Tokyo 2020 Olympics where she represented New Zealand this past month.
- The Hoyas are coming off an impressive 2020 campaign as they finished 12-0-2 overall and went a perfect 6-0-0 at home. The squad won the BIG EAST Tournament for the fourth year running as they beat Butler in overtime to clinch the win. The Hoyas made it to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
