WASHINGTON –Georgetown University Women's Golf Head Coach
Kate Schanuel has announced the fall schedule for the upcoming 2021-22 season, presented by MedStar Health. The Blue & Gray will play in five tournaments in the fall as the squad prepares for the 2022 BIG EAST Championships next spring.
NITTANY LION INVITATIONAL / PENN STATE / SEPTEMBER 4-5
- This will be Georgetown's eighth trip all-time to State College.
- The Hoyas will be looking for their fourth top-10 finish at Penn State.
- GU placed 10th in the fall of 2019 when Esther Park led the Hoyas.
PRINCETON INVITATIONAL / PRINCETON / SEPTEMBER 25-26
- Georgetown will be making its 12th appearance at the Princeton Invitational.
- The Hoyas won the tournament in 2017 and have finished in the top five on seven occasions.
- Individually, a Hoya has won the Princeton Invitational three times, most recently by Jacquelyn Eleey in 2017.
YALE INVITATIONAL / YALE / OCTOBER 9-10
- This will be GU's 10th all-time trip to Yale, and the Blue & Gray has had six top-10 finishes.
- The squad most recently traveled to New Haven, Connecticut in the fall of 2019, finishing 13th.
- Ashley Fitzgibbons and Lauren May posted identical scores to lead the Hoyas.
LADY BLUE HEN INVITATIONAL / DELAWARE / OCTOBER 16-17
- Georgetown has made four previous appearances at the Lady Blue Hen Invitational, and has not finished below fifth place.
- The Blue & Gray won the tournament during the 2014-15 season.
- The Hoyas finished third back in 2019, led by a sixth-place showing by Fitzgibbons.
PALMETTO INTERCOLLEGIATE / COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON / OCTOBER 25-26
- This will be Georgetown's first appearance at the Palmetto Intercollegiate,
- The program has played in 13 previous tournaments hosted by the College of Charleston, highlighted by a sixth-place finish at the Briar's Creek Invitational in 2018.
