WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's
Sean Zawadzki was named one of just 30 NCAA Division I men's soccer candidates for the Senior CLASS Award, recognizing student-athletes who excel both on and off the field. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be athletically classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character and competition.

- Has started all seven games for the Hoyas this season with one goal and one assist to his credit.
- Named Preseason All-BIG EAST in August.
- Zawadzki was named First Team United Soccer Coaches All-East Region and Second Team All-BIG EAST last season.
- The midfielder started all 13 games he appeared in this past spring.
- He has appeared in 63 career games with 55 starts tallying four goals and three assists for 11 points.
- Zawadzki was a 2020 captain for the Blue & Gray and was selected again this year.
- A psychology major who will graduate in December.
Senior Class Award
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
The candidate class will be narrowed to 10 finalists in April, and those 10 names will be placed on the official ballot. Ballots will be distributed through a nationwide voting system to media, coaches and fans, who will select one male candidate who best exemplifies excellence in the four Cs of community, classroom, character, and competition.
The Senior CLASS Award winners will be announced during the 2021 NCAA Men's and Women's College Cup® championships in December.
The Hoyas had a winner last season as
Jacob Montes earned Second Team Senior CLASS All-America honors.
Upcoming Games
The Hoyas will stay at home next weekend for a BIG EAST Conference matchup against the DePaul University Blue Demons on Saturday at Shaw Field.
