WASHINGTON – Georgetown University women's basketball freshman Kennedy Fauntleroy was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Monday after the Hoyas went 1-0 in its BIG EAST Conference play. This is the second-career weekly award for Fauntleroy and the second for the Blue & Gray this season.

• Fauntleroy earned the honor for the second time in the last three weeks after going for 12 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in a single-digit setback at RV DePaul on Sunday.
• Through her first three BIG EAST games, the rookie guard is averaging 17.0 points per game to rank ninth among all conference competitors.
• Overall, Fauntleroy is leading the team in scoring with 11.5 ppg to go along with a squad-best 26 steals on the year.
