Women’s Basketball Travels to Wake Forest on Sunday

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team will head out on the road for a nonconference matchup against the Wake Forest University Demon Deacons on Sunday afternoon in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The opening tip is scheduled for 2 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on the ACC Network Extra. .

About the Hoyas
  • Georgetown (5-3) fell 76-69 to the Villanova University Wildcats on Thursday evening at McDonough Arena in GU's first game in BIG EAST Conference action.
  • Graduate student Laila Jewett led the way with 12 points and five rebounds as well as two assists.
  • Summer Davis tallied 12 points to go along with three steals, while junior Khia Miller managed 12 points and sophomore Khadee Hession added 11.
  • The Blue & Gray shot 34.8% (23-66) from the field, but allowed 45.9% (28-61) shooting by Villanova.
  • GU was outrebounded by VU 42-39, and Georgetown forced 22 Wildcat turnovers on nine steals.

  • The Demon Deacons have eight new players to the team for the 2025-26 season in transfers Raven Preston from Elon, Mary Carter from Cal Poly and Grace Oliver from Colorado.
