Box Score WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team dropped its series opener to Norfolk State, 2-1, on Friday afternoon. The Hoyas fell to 1-3 on the season while the Spartans picked up their first win of the season and moved to 1-3.
"Tough game on Friday night. Norfolk's pitcher kept us off balance. There's a reason he was nominated as preseason player of the year and Norfolk State is an NCAA team. They did all that they needed to do to win.
Andrew Williams was a bright spot for us, coming into the game and giving us three great innings. We'll regroup and get ready for tomorrow" - Head Coach
Edwin Thompson on tonight's game.
