WASHINGTON – Georgetown softball is set to play in UMBC's Round Robin tournament this weekend in Baltimore, Maryland. The Hoyas will match up with UMBC and Coppin State on both Saturday and Sunday, February 26-27. GU is coming off a 3-2 weekend in Greenville, South Carolina where it beat St. Francis and Furman (twice) in the Furman Classic.

About the Hoyas
- Freshman Kayla Dunn made this week's BIG EAST Honor Roll for her pitching performance at the Furman Classic in Greenville, South Carolina last weekend. Dunn threw 28 strikes over the course of the five-game tournament.
- Alyssa Chavez has also been highlighted by the BIG EAST this season for her opening weekend performance at Coastal Carolina's Kickin' Chicken Classic. Chavez hit two homeruns and brought in the first one of Georgetown's 2022 season.
About the Classic
- Coppin State is 0-1 on the season thus far with its one loss being to Iowa State (1-0) on Monday, February 21.
- UMBC is 1-3 on the season. The Retrievers lost to Seton Hall twice with scores of 13-7 and 19-2, respectively, and lost to St. Joseph's (9-1). UMBC's win was over St. Joseph's (6-1).
