Hoyas Host The University of Pennsylvania at Cooper Field

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team will host The University of Pennsylvania Quakers in a nonconference matchup at Cooper Field on Saturday. The opening draw is scheduled for 3 p.m. The Hoyas are currently 4-3 on the season and are coming off an emphatic 21-5 road victory at George Mason on Wednesday night.

About the Hoyas

  • The Hoyas currently hold a 2-2 home record.

  • Against George Mason, the Blue & Gray were able to take an early lead and control the entirety of the first half as the score was 13-4 at the break. The second half saw the Hoyas put on a defensive clinic as they only conceded one goal in the entire half to seal the 21-5 victory.  

  • GU outshot George Mason 40-15 and led 6-2 in assists.

  • Ali Diamond leads the squad with 21 points on 14 goals and seven assists, while Kylie Hazen, Tatum Geist and Annabelle Albert all have 12 goals each. 

  • LizaBanks Campagna paces the Georgetown defensive effort as she has 52 draw controls with three caused turnovers. Emma Driggs has 29 draw controls while Jordyn Sabourin has 13, and Melissa Massimino adds eight draw controls to go along with 12 caused turnovers 

About the Quakers 

  • The University of Pennsylvania is 2-4 on the season and stands at 1-1 in road contests. The Quakers are coming off a 21-10 road defeat at No. 7 Duke in their last contest. 

  • The University of Pennsylvania trails opponents 64-60 in total goals scored vs. goals allowed in addition to leading 111-95 in turnovers.

  • The Quakers lead opponents 23-22 in assists and are dead even at 62-62 in caused turnovers. 

  • Aly Feely paces the offensive attack with 10 goals and one assist for 11 points. Niki Miles leads the team in assists with seven in addition to five goals for 12 points. 

  • Kaitlyn Cumiskey leads the Quakers defensive efforts as she has 12 caused turnovers and 20 draw controls. 

Series Info

  • Georgetown trails 7-2 all-time against the Quakers and most recently was defeated 17-6 at Cooper Field in 2020. 

  • The last victory for the Blue & Gray came in 2019 in Syracuse, New York during the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Hoyas were able to take down the quakers 13-12.
