WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's lightweight crew heads to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to compete in the Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on May 13-14. The Hoyas will race on the Schuylkill River in four categories: novice 4+, varsity lightweight 4+, varsity lightweight 8+ and the varsity openweight 8+.
 
Lightweights at Dad Vail

• The novice 4+ races first in Event #3 on Friday. Georgetown will go against a field of 20 entries in the race.
• Georgetown's lightweight varsity 4+ takes to the water next in Event #14 and goes head-to-head against MIT.
• The lightweight varsity 8+ will see the University of Wisconsin in Event #19 of the regatta.
• The final Georgetown shell is the openweight varsity 8+ in Event #23, going up against six other universities in the race.
