WASHINGTON – After taking two of three from Seton Hall, the Georgetown University baseball team will face No. 18 Maryland and Navy in a pair of midweek matchups. The Hoyas will travel to College Park to square off with the Terps on Tuesday, May 3 for a 4 p.m. contest before returning to Shirley Povich Field on Wednesday, May 4 for a 6 p.m. showdown with the Midshipmen.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Georgetown is coming off of a 3-1 week, taking two of three against Seton Hall for the team's first series win over the Pirates since 2016, and one over George Washington.
- The Hoyas registered back-to-back shutouts against a BIG EAST opponent for the first time in program history with Nolan McCarthy and Carter Bosch each picking up their fifth win of the year.
- The duo also earned conference recognition with McCarthy capturing his second BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week award while Bosch tallied earned his second honor roll selection in as many weeks.
- Jake Hyde continues to pace the league in total bases (133 - 7th in NCAA), runs scored (55 - 9th in NCAA) and home runs (17 - T-10th in NCAA). His current totals in all three categories also rank inside the program's top three for single-season marks.
- GU's pitching staff has registered 10 or more strikeouts in a game on 18 occasions, boasting a 15-3 record and have won 12 straight contests. Furthermore, the team's 370 total strikeouts are fifth-most all-time in a single season.
- McCarthy leads the BE with two complete games this season while ranking second with an 11.0 K/9 and 5.6 K/BB. The righty is also the only conference pitcher to toss two complete games this season.
SCOUTING NO. 18 MARYLAND
- The Terps have won five of their last six games. Ryan Ramsey registered the program's second perfect game in a 13-0 win over Northwestern during that stretch.
- Maryland has four players with 10 or more home runs in Chris Alleyne (14), Maxwell Costes (13), Matt Shaw (11) and Bobby Zmarzlak (11).
- Alleyne paces the club with 51 RBIs while Troy Schreffler and Luke Shliger sit one point apart in batting average, posting respective .350 and .349 marks in 44 starts.
- The 18th-ranked Terrapins have taken both contests against the Hoyas this season, posting 10-9 and 5-1 wins.
SCOUTING NAVY
- The Midshipmen have dropped six of their last eight, including two-straight against Lafayette over the weekend.
- Christian Policelli leads Navy with a .335 average, 57 hits and 33 RBIs through 44 starts.
- Freshman Landon Kreur leads the Patriot League with seven saves, boasting a 2-1 record and 2.12 ERA in 15 relief appearances.
- Georgetown and Navy will face off for the first time since the Midshipmen took two of three from the Hoyas to open the 2020 campaign.
