WASHINGTON – The Georgetown field hockey team fell on the road against No. 12 Liberty in Lynchburg, Virgina with a final score of 10-0.
How it Happened
- The first quarter was scoreless. Georgetown's Ciara Weets was spectacular making five saves in the first period and two point blank stops kept it even through the first 15 minutes of action.
- The Flames opened the second quarter scoring in the first minute when Lizzie Hamlett found the back of the net off an assist from Jodie Conolly. Liberty added three more tallies in the second, heading into halftime ahead 4-0.
- In the second half, the Flames put up three goals in the third and three more in the fourth before knocking off the Hoyas 10-0.
